Pork fillet on pointed cabbage

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pork fillet(s)
  • 1 small pointed cabbage
  • Spice mix (Chinese spice)
  • salt and pepper
  • some sugar
  • Clarified butter
  • n. B. wine, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Remove any skin from the pork fillet and cut into thick slices. Season with Chinese spices and brown in hot clarified butter. Remove the fillets from the pan and keep warm. Add a little sugar to the fat in the pan and let it caramelize briefly. Trim the pointed cabbage and cut it into coarse strips. Add it to the pan, turning it frequently. Then simmer for about 10 minutes. Season with pepper, salt, and Chinese spices. Add white wine if desired. Place the seared pork fillets on top of the cabbage and simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve hot.
