Pork schnitzel braised with apples

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 apples (Boskoop)
  • 2 pork schnitzels
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard, sweet
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 250 ml sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Peel the apples and dice them roughly. Mix with the sour cream and marjoram. Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper, brush with the mustard, and coat them in the egg and breadcrumbs. Heat butter in a roasting pan or heatproof skillet. Brown the schnitzels in it. Drizzle with apple cream and braise in the oven for about 35 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
