Potato and Carrot Pancakes with Smoked Salmon

The perfect potato and carrot pancakes with smoked salmon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Sauce:

  • 1 large Carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • Marjoram
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the mill – whoever wants it
  • Oil or clarified butter
  • Approx. 6 pieces
  • Smoked salmon as you like
  • 0,5 Becker Sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese
  • Dille chopped – at will
  • 2 Toes Pressed garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 100 g Smoked salmon
  1. Wash the potatoes and carrots, peel them and grate them finely or if you prefer coarser, press them out firmly (very important).
  2. Put the egg, flour and finely diced onion and the spices into a batter.
  3. Let the oil or clarified butter get hot in a pan. Use a spoon to put a certain amount of batter into the hot fat, flatten it a little and bake it until crispy brown

Sour Cream Dill Sauce

  1. Stir sour cream and creme fraiche until smooth, add finely chopped dill and garlic, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Serve the crispy baked pancakes with salmon and the sauce, I liked it very much. I ate green salad with it.
