Potato and cheese balls

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 200 g corn flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g processed cheese, diced
  • Salt
  • ¼ liter oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Boil the potatoes with their skins on in salted water until soft, drain, peel, and press through a potato ricer or mash. Pour the mash into a bowl and knead into a dough with the cornflour, a pinch of salt, the egg yolk, and the cream cheese. Form the dough into small balls and fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
