Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g potatoes
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ bunch chives
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • 300 ml cream
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp, heaped processed cheese
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • some butter flakes
  • some grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Butter a casserole dish. Peel and wash the potatoes, and slice them thinly. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Spread the garlic cubes on the bottom. Layer half of the potato slices in the dish. Peel the onion, slice them thinly, and spread them over the potatoes. Chop the chives and parsley and add them to the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. If desired, add some breadcrumbs. Spread the minced meat over the potato slices. Use the remaining potato slices to create a shingle-like border (leaving the center free). Mix the cream, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper, and spread over the casserole. Sprinkle the surface with breadcrumbs and place the butter flakes on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 50 minutes. Sprinkle with some Parmesan cheese halfway through baking.
