Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g potatoes, boiled, peeled
  • 200 g bacon, finely chopped
  • 80 g flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 120 g butter, soft
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 pinch of clove(s), ground
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • Fat for the mold
  • Breadcrumbs for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Coarsely grate the peeled and cooled potatoes. Mix the potatoes with the bacon, flour, salt, and parsley. Cream the butter, egg yolks, salt, spices, and baking powder in a bowl until fluffy and stir into the potato mixture. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the mixture. Pour the mixture into a greased and breadcrumb-coated springform pan (22 cm diameter) and smooth it down. Place the pan in the lower half of a preheated oven at 200°C and bake for about 60 minutes. Serve with a green salad.
