  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 1 handful of cheese
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the potatoes and grate them thinly, then slice the onions. Line a buttered ovenproof dish with potatoes, season them with salt and pepper, and then add a layer of sliced onions. Continue layering in this order (salt and pepper are very important) until all the ingredients are used up. Place the potatoes on top. Spread the cheese on top. Now spread the cream on top. The amount of cream depends on the dish size and should cover about half the potato mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 50-60 minutes (test for doneness). If the casserole is getting too brown, simply cover with aluminum foil. Tip: With bacon between the layers and a green salad, this dish becomes a main course.
