Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of dumplings, raw
  • 1 tsp, heaped marjoram, shredded
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds, whole
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • some salt
  • some black pepper from the mill
  • 3 dashes Maggi, liquid
  • 8 tbsp vegetable fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

the easy way

Mix the packaged dumplings with the remaining ingredients, form medium-sized dumplings, fry them in hot oil, and place them on kitchen paper. To fry the potato pancakes, add a spoonful of oil in the pan repeatedly. If you like, you can serve them with cooked sauerkraut or buttermilk. I wouldn’t recommend applesauce with these pancakes; they’re too spicy or savory. They’re simple and delicious.
