Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 750 g floury potatoes
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp marjoram
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper
  • Oil and clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and finely grate them in a food processor. Let them rest for half an hour and then squeeze the excess water out. Finely grate the onions and add them to the potatoes. Add the eggs, oats, flour, and spices to the mixture. Knead thoroughly and season to taste. Heat oil and clarified butter (just a little) in a pan. Form thin patties from the dough and fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve with fresh homemade applesauce and beetroot syrup.
