Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g potatoes, soft-boiled
  • 100 g flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 13 minutes

Mash the soft-boiled potatoes and mix with the finely chopped onion. Stir in the milk and egg. Then combine the flour with the baking powder and stir into the mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste. Preheat the waffle iron, brush with butter, and bake 2 tablespoons of batter at a time until well browned. The waffles can be enjoyed sweet (e.g., with applesauce) or savory (e.g., with herb curd). The batter is enough for about 5 waffles.
