  • Potatoes are cholesterol-free. If your cholesterol levels are too high, you can safely integrate potatoes into your diet.
  • However, the method of preparation plays a major role here. French fries or fried potatoes prepared in fat are less suitable.
  • Another advantage of potatoes is that the tubers are naturally gluten-free.
  • If you suffer from celiac disease, i.e. gluten intolerance, you can tolerate potato dishes without any problems.
