  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil, rapeseed oil or sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Vegetarian side dish made from potatoes

Grate the raw potatoes and onions, not too finely, and mix together. Season with a little nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Then pour the mixture into a colander and press down gently. Set aside the collected liquid. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan with high sides. The temperature is sufficient when a wooden skewer inserted into the pan bubbles. Add the entire mixture and fry until golden brown, stirring constantly. If the potatoes become too dry during frying, add some of the collected liquid. Serve as a side dish instead of potatoes. Goes well with all meat dishes with dark sauce.
