Preserving Apples – The Best Tips

Apples can be preserved in many different ways. In this home tip, we will show you how to do it.

Freezing – This is how you can easily preserve apples

You should freeze fresh apples. This is very easy and gives you a shelf life of 6 to 9 months. We’ll show you how to do it.

  1. Pack the apples in freezer bags and pack them airtight. Alternatively, you can also use cans for freezing.
  2. Write the date on the package so you know when you froze the apples.
  3. If you want to use the apples, simply take them out of the freezer or compartment and thaw the apples briefly. You can then process them as usual.

It is best to freeze the apples in such a way that they can be processed immediately after thawing, e.g. cut directly or similar. For more tips on freezing apples, see another practical tip.
