Can I eat apples at night?

It is undesirable to eat apples at bedtime for people with gastrointestinal problems and diabetics. You should not eat the fruit in case of individual intolerance. Even a small piece of apple eaten leads to a severe exacerbation.

Do not eat fruit if there is no feeling of hunger and the desire to eat is caused by boredom or idleness. It is important to understand that such snacks make the bodywork, and it needs a good rest. Metabolism is disrupted, which leads to serious illness and weight gain.

You can eat apples at night if:

  • You are on a diet. To make up for the lack of nutrients, it is recommended to eat vegetables and fruits 3-4 times a day.
  • You missed one of your meals. A diet dinner lasts for 2 hours, then you feel hungry again because the body has not received the daily intake of vitamins, minerals, and other substances.
  • We worked out late at night in the gym. While exercising, the body burns calories and spends energy. Therefore, to restore strength, you are allowed to eat an apple for the second dinner.

Who shouldn’t eat apples?

Gastroenterologists say that sour apple varieties are contraindicated for people suffering from gastritis, gastric ulcers, and duodenal ulcers. In these cases, it is better to use heat-treated apples – baked or apple soufflé.

The high fructose content in apples can cause bloating, which is contraindicated in people with functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

Nutritionists say that apples are dangerous for people with exacerbations of gastrointestinal diseases, such as gastritis and pancreatitis. In this case, the fruit can only be eaten baked.

People who are watching their weight should choose green or light yellow apples. Acids provoke the secretion of gastric juice, so it is better to eat apples an hour and a half after the main meal, but not on an empty stomach.
