Pretzel dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 300 g rolls (pretzels)
  • 50 g onion(s), diced
  • 50 g butter
  • 5 tbsp cress (garden cress, arugula as an alternative)
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the bread into small cubes. Sauté the diced onion in the butter and add to the bread. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, and let rest. Brush a cloth napkin (or cheesecloth) with a little butter (wet it works too), spread the dumpling mixture on it, and form it into a roll about 4 cm in diameter. Wrap it up and tie it with kitchen string. Cook in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes or steam it. That’s it, now cut into slices and serve as a side dish. Of course, you can also form dumplings from the mixture.
