Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 500 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 20 g fat
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • ⅛ liter of water
  • Baking soda – lye, 5% from the pharmacy
  • Salt, coarse, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Make a yeast dough from the ingredients. Form rolls and let them rise on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Using two spoons, roll the rolls in the lye, cut them crosswise, and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake immediately. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the rolls are nice and crispy.
