Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Potatoes stewed with beans

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin(!) slices. If you have a food processor or a cucumber slicer, this can save you a lot of time! Peel the onion and garlic, slice the onion into rings, and press the garlic. Heat oil in a large, lidded pan and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the raw potatoes and frozen beans to the pan and cover. After a while, when everything is hot, season well. Then simply cook over low heat with the lid closed. When everything is soft, mix 1-2 tablespoons of flour with a little water until smooth; slowly add 1/2 cup of water, stir, and pour into the pan. Simmer with the lid off for a few more minutes, season to taste, and serve. Tip: Don’t try this in a pot; it will burn terribly! This dish gets its name from its appearance.
