Place the cherries in a saucepan along with the juice from the jar. Mix the two tablespoons of cornstarch with a little cherry juice. As soon as the cherries start to boil, stir in the cornstarch mixture and stir until well thickened. Then transfer the cherries to a baking dish or large glass bowl. Combine the milk, egg yolks, sugar, flour, and cornstarch in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until a pudding forms. Remove the pan from the heat and add the white chocolate pieces, stirring until melted. Spoon the pudding over the cherries. Finally, crumble the cookies and place them on top of the pudding. Refrigerate everything for a few hours.
