Pudding pretzels

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, from the refrigerated section, approx. 275 g
  • 1 pack of yeast dough, from the refrigerated section, approx. 500 g
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 40 g sugar
  • 400 ml milk
  • 50 ml cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • some icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Roll out the puff pastry and yeast dough, place the two sheets on top of each other and cut to the same size if there is any excess dough. Cut the dough sheets lengthwise into strips about 2 cm wide. Twist the strands together and shape into pretzels. Place the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Prepare the pudding according to the package instructions, but with the ingredients listed there (milk, cream, sugar). Take a little of the pudding mixture and quickly mix it with the egg yolk. Then quickly stir this into the pudding. Divide the pudding among the pretzels. Bake in an oven preheated to 175 °C (fan oven) for about 20-23 minutes on the middle rack. Let cool and then cover with powdered sugar.
