Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 2 cubes of yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 125 g butter
  • 150 ml milk
  • 400 g pumpkin puree
  • 8 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Make pumpkin puree: Cut the pumpkin into pieces and cook until soft, then puree. Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble the yeast into the well and sprinkle the sugar on top. Sprinkle salt only on the outer edge of the flour. Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the milk. Deglaze with the pumpkin puree. Pour the mixture over the yeast and smooth it out so the yeast doesn’t clump. Mix and knead the contents thoroughly. Let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Pour the dough into a large greased baking pan (or two small pans) and bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes.
