Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 250 g herring fillet(s)
  • ½ small apple
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 gherkin(s)
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 10 minutes

Hangover breakfast, small salad without cream, milk, buttermilk or similar.

Cut the herring into bite-sized pieces. Wash the apple, remove the core, and chop finely. Peel the onion, halve it, and slice it into rings. Slice the gherkins. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and let it sit for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
