Quark balls without egg

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 60 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 ml milk
  • 40 g yeast
  • 500 g cream cheese
  • Oil, for frying
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla sugar
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours

Mix all ingredients together, then fold in the strained quark (not required; you can add it as is). Let it rise a little in a warm place. Heat the oil and scoop out 2 teaspoons/tablespoon of dough, depending on how large you want them, and fry until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon/vanilla sugar. Tip: You can also add a few raisins to the dough; they taste great too!
