Quark cake without a base with sour cherries

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ kg low-fat curd cheese
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g margarine
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 packs of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 1 jar sour cherries
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • Sugar mixed with cinnamon

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat the butter with the sugar and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar until creamy, then stir in the egg yolks and pudding powder. Add the quark and mix well again. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Grease a 26 cm springform pan, pour in the mixture and level the surface. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and bake the cake for 1 hour. Then leave in the pan. Drain the sour cherries well and spread on the cooled cake. Mix the sour cream with 2 sachets of vanilla sugar and warm in the microwave until lukewarm to make the sour cream a little smoother. Then spread it on the cherries. Finally, mix a little sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the cake. Once everything has cooled down, the cake can be removed from the pan.
