Quark casserole with cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark (semi-skimmed)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp semolina
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml cream (half cream)
  • 100 g cheese (Tilsiter), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Butter, in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Whisk together all ingredients except the eggs. Separate the eggs: add the egg yolks to the mixture and stir in. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold them into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the buttered dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and butter flakes, and bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
