Quark-cherry cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 jar sweet cherries
  • 300 g quark
  • 220 ml milk
  • 220 ml oil
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

First, beat the sugar with 3 eggs until frothy. Then, gradually whisk in the milk and oil. Stir in the flour and baking powder. Drain the jar of sweet cherries. Spread the batter on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and arrange the cherries on top. Now, mix the quark with 1 egg and sweeten with powdered sugar if desired. Place the quark mixture between the cherries on top of the batter. Bake at 190°C (fan oven) for 25 minutes.
