Quark poppy seed stollen

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g butter, soft
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar (vanilla sugar)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pack of poppy seed cake
  • 1 pack almonds, sliced
  • 1 pack of marzipan
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Mix 250g butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Add 2 eggs and quark. Mix the flour with the baking powder and knead into the dough. Roll out the dough into a 40 x 30cm rectangle. Mix the poppy seed mixture with the remaining egg and spread it on the dough, leaving a 2cm border free. Sprinkle the almonds on top. Grate the marzipan onto the poppy seed mixture. Roll the dough up lengthwise and tuck in the ends. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Make several 5mm deep cuts on the surface of the Stollen and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake for about 1 hour. Melt the remaining 100g butter. After baking, brush the Stollen with this mixture and dust with powdered sugar.
