a British perennial favorite and a very tasty dessert, with personal refinements
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) fan/convection oven. Lightly grease a glass baking dish with butter. Cut the apples into 1 cm cubes and place in the baking dish. Mix in the raspberries, grate a little lemon zest, drizzle with honey, and drizzle with lemon juice. Place the wholemeal flour and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the butter in small pieces and rub in with your hands until coarsely crumbly. Mix in the blueberries. Pour the mixture over the apples. Place a glass lid on top and bake in the oven with the lid on for about 45 minutes. Then bake uncovered for about 15 minutes, until the crumbs are lightly browned. The crumble is ready to serve straight from the oven. Serve with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream, vanilla sorbet, or whipped cream.
