Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g quark
- 250 ml milk
- 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
- 5 tbsp buttermilk
- 1 class can/n mandarin(s) (drained weight: 175 g)
- 50 g sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- possibly vanilla
- 250 ml buttermilk
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes
with buttermilk
Mix the pudding mix with the 5 tablespoons of buttermilk instead of the regular milk, as indicated on the package. Then, combine the 250 ml buttermilk and the 250 ml milk in a saucepan and continue preparing the pudding according to the package instructions. Do not refrigerate after mixing! Mix the quark and pudding together, add the vanilla sugar and regular sugar, and refine with real vanilla, if desired. Drain the mandarins and pour the cream into small serving bowls. Arrange the mandarins decoratively on top of the cream and refrigerate for about 2 hours. If you like, you can of course use other fruits, such as raspberries, apricots, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, currants, etc. Also delicious: Use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla pudding, or simply add cocoa powder and a little milk and garnish with banana slices. Of course, the fruit can also be stirred directly into the cream. By then, however, it shouldn’t be too hot!
