Quick buttermilk bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 140 g flour
  • 140 g wholemeal flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 240 ml buttermilk
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil with orange flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C. Oil and flour a loaf pan. Combine all dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk all wet ingredients and add to the dry ingredients. Mix everything with a spatula, just enough to ensure the batter is evenly moist and free of any traces of flour. Pour into the loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Turn out of the pan and let cool on a wire rack.
