Quick, delicious red cabbage with apple sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) bacon, fattier
  • ½ large onion(s)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ jar applesauce
  • 1 jar red cabbage
  • Garlic granules
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Brown the fatty bacon with the onions and sprinkle with a little sugar. Once the bacon and onions have browned, add the bay leaves and red cabbage. Reduce the heat and add about a quarter of the applesauce. Let the mixture simmer gently. About 30 minutes before serving, add the remaining applesauce and season with garlic granules, pepper, and salt.
