Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix well, and then pour into two greased, breadcrumb-dusted 28 cm cake tins or three 26 cm springform pans. Bake at 160°C (convection oven) for about 15 minutes. The batter rises quite well, is nice and moist, and tastes much better than store-bought bases! Oh, and it freezes perfectly. That way, you’ll always have one on hand for when unexpected visitors arrive. Just defrost quickly, add the toppings, and drizzle with icing!
