Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 6 eggs
- 120 g flour
- 120 g butter
- 250 g diced ham / bacon
- 250 g cheese, grated
- 1 kg onion(s)
- salt and pepper

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

This onion tart is quick and easy to prepare. Simply combine all the ingredients (the order doesn’t matter) and mix thoroughly. Then pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for approximately 45 to 60 minutes (depending on the desired browning). Alternatively, you can bake it in a springform pan – see second photo. If you don’t like onions, you can adapt the recipe. I’ve also used carrots and zucchini instead of the onions. The vegetarian version without bacon is also delicious. However, I used more cheese.
