Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 200 ml BBQ sauce, e.g. HP Honey or other
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • some cayenne pepper
  • some paprika powder
  • some vegetable broth, grainy
  • some cola, if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

very easy and quick

Preheat the oven. Sear the chicken fillet and season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, combine the BBQ sauce, orange juice, cayenne pepper, paprika, and broth, adding a little cola if desired. Transfer everything to a casserole dish and pour over the marinade. Place in a preheated oven at 170-180°C (348-356°F) and braise for about 30 minutes. Then remove the chicken and shred along the grain. Return the meat to the marinade in the casserole dish and braise for another 15 minutes. Perfect as a no-fuss burger or in a wrap with salad and yogurt sauce.
