a nice decoration for a child’s birthday party

We peel the cucumbers so that strips of peel remain visible. We cut off both ends of the cucumbers at the beginning and end (we can use one as a hat), then we cut a total of 5 thin slices from each cucumber (4 wheels and the steering wheel). Use a knife to cut a small indentation into each cucumber. This is where either the egg or the tomato goes. Decorate the tomato or egg with a small piece of the end of the cucumber (as a hat). Place a cucumber slice on a wooden toothpick and stick it slightly diagonally in front of the egg or tomato to act as a steering wheel. Use the wooden toothpicks to attach 4 cucumber slices to each side as wheels. The egg or tomato is given arms with wooden toothpicks that reach up to the steering wheel. The egg is given 2 eyes with the cloves and a mouth with a small piece of tomato. For the egg racer, we place half a tomato on the front and back of the cucumber.
