Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 ml water
- 400 g sugar
- 100 g milk powder (available in health food stores)
- 200 g desiccated coconut
- 250 g margarine or butter
- 200 g hazelnuts
- 200 g desiccated coconut
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes
Pour sugar into water in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Remove the pan from the heat. Melt the butter/margarine in it. Then stir in 200g of desiccated coconut. Stir in the powdered milk. Let the mixture cool and refrigerate for 24 hours. Then roll the dough into small balls, press a hazelnut into each one, and roll the balls in desiccated coconut. Refrigerate for an hour. Enjoy!
