Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 900 g flour, type 550
- 2 packets of dry yeast
- 500 ml milk
- 80 g sugar
- 80 g butter
- 6 g salt
- 150 g raisins
- 50 g candied lemon peel
- 100 g hazelnuts, whole
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes
with candied lemon and hazelnuts
Melt the butter and add the milk. Knead both with the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast until a firm dough forms (this works best in a food processor). Finally, knead in the raisins, candied lemon peel, and nuts. Let the mixture rise for about an hour in a warm place (I always put it in the oven at 50 degrees Celsius). Then knead again and pour into a greased bread or loaf pan. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) and bake the bread for about 40-45 minutes.
