Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 500 g flour, whole wheat flour
  • 125 ml milk
  • 125 ml water
  • 20 g yeast
  • 80 g oil
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • e.g. sesame seeds, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Beat the egg in a small bowl and mix. Mix half of the egg with the water, milk, oil, and honey. Add the liquid ingredients to the flour and knead well. Let the dough rise. Form into rolls or sticks. Let rise again. Cut a small hole in the rolls and brush with the remaining egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
