makes 20 rolls
Heat the milk with the sugar and crumble in the yeast until dissolved. Now put the yeast milk into a bowl with all the remaining ingredients, except the raisins and chocolate chips, and knead until the dough is nice and smooth. Cover and let the dough rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place (e.g. in a fan-assisted oven at 40°C). Remove the dough from the bowl and cut out 20 even pieces of 50g each. Flatten the pieces, top with raisins or chocolate chips, and shape them into round rolls. Place the rolls on one or two baking sheets lined with baking paper and let them rise for about 40 minutes. (Depending on whether 10 or 20 rolls are made from the dough.) In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200°C. For brushing, mix the egg with a little condensed milk. Spread the mixture on the rolls and bake at 200 °C for about 10 – 12 minutes until golden brown.
