Raspberry and apple crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g raspberries
  • 2 apples
  • 1 lemon(s), squeezed
  • 75 g cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g oat flakes
  • 200 g butter, cold
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 25 g cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the apples and slice them thinly. Place them in a baking dish with the frozen raspberries. Add the lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon and mix. In another bowl, knead the butter, brown and white sugar, flour, and oats by hand. The crumble mixture should crumble from your fingers and be only slightly sticky. If it’s too wet, add a little more flour and oats one at a time. Crumble the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture and spread it evenly. Preheat the oven (180°C fan/200°C top and bottom heat). Bake the crumble on the middle rack for about 25 minutes, until golden brown. Let it cool for about 15 minutes, and enjoy. Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream goes perfectly with it.
