Raspberry Mojito

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 lime(s)
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 handful of raspberries, frozen
  • e.g. rum, white
  • 2 sprigs of mint
  • n. B. ice cubes

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

also works without alcohol

Cut the lime into eighths and divide between two glasses. Add two teaspoons of sugar to each and use a muddler to squeeze the juice out of the limes. Now squeeze one sprig of mint in each glass lightly with your hand to allow the aroma to escape. I twist the sprigs and leaves until they crack open a little. Add the raspberries and a few ice cubes, if desired, top up with white rum and stir to distribute the sugar and lime juice. If the raspberries are still too frozen and don’t fall apart on their own, let the drink stand for a while until the raspberries thaw, then muddle them with a muddler or teaspoon until the drink turns red. Serve with a thick straw. For a non-alcoholic version, replace the rum with lemonade, but then omit the sugar.
