Red cabbage and lamb's lettuce with bacon and oranges

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g red cabbage
  • 100 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 2 oranges
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp mustard, grainy
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Salad for autumn

Remove the stalk from the red cabbage and cut into thin strips. Knead well with salt and sugar and let stand for about 30 minutes. Fry the bacon in a pan without oil until crispy. Peel the oranges and slice thinly. Mix all the dressing ingredients together well and season with salt and pepper. Add the dressing and lamb’s lettuce to the red cabbage and mix well. Place the salad mixture flat on a plate, arrange the oranges on top. Finally, scatter the crispy bacon on top and serve the salad immediately. 195 kcal per serving.
