Red cabbage salad

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 red cabbage
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 2 apples
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 g cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp natural yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Remove the stalk from the red cabbage and finely shred the red cabbage. Peel and finely grate the carrot. Core and dice the apples, and drizzle with lemon juice. Peel the onion and slice into thin rings. Grate the cheese. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. For the dressing, mix the mayonnaise with yogurt and paprika. Chop the garlic clove and stir in. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad, mix well, and cover. Let the salad rest for at least an hour to marinate. Season again before serving. If the red cabbage is very large, the quantities of the remaining ingredients may need to be increased slightly.
