Ingredients

  • 1 Little red cabbage
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Onion
  • 150 g Walnut kernels
  • Balsamic vinegar, oil, salt, pepper
  • Sugar, cinnamon powder

Instructions

  • Clean the red cabbage, cut into eighths and cut into narrow strips. Sprinkle with a little salt and knead well so that it absorbs some liquid.
  • Peel and core the apples and cut or grate them into sticks. Cut the onion into small cubes. Chop the walnuts and lightly toast them in a pan without oil.
  • Prepare a sauce from balsamic vinegar, oil, possibly salt, pepper and sugar and add to the other ingredients together with the cinnamon powder and mix everything well.
  • Let it steep for a couple of hours and season again if necessary. The cinnamon should be clearly palpable.
