Red Cabbage Vegetables

The perfect red cabbage vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 tablespoon Oil for frying
  • 1 size Onion
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 6 bruised Juniper berries
  • 300 g Frozen apple and red cabbage
  • 2 tablespoon Red wine
  • 0,25 cube Chopped up gravy
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • 2 tablespoon Black pepper from the mill
  1. Cut the onion into strips and fry them briefly in the heated oil, then add the bay leaf and the squashed juniper berries, sauté them briefly and add the frozen apple and red cabbage with red wine and water.
  2. Cook the vegetables over a mild heat and cover for about 10 minutes. Now add the crushed gravy and pepper to taste, season to taste and serve.
  3. I served this red cabbage today with marinated loin in balsamic sauce (also with braised beef roulades, as you can see) … and with dumplings.
