Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g red currants
  • 180 g rock sugar, brown, crumbly
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), split
  • 1 bottle of vodka or grain alcohol

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 90 days; Total time approx. 90 days 20 minutes

Wash the currants, pat them dry, and remove the stems. Layer the rock candy in a clean, wide-necked bottle, adding the slitted vanilla pod in between. Finally, add the vodka or schnapps, close the bottle, and shake vigorously. Now just wait three months, filter the “juice,” and bottle it.
