Red wine cake / red wine muffins

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g butter or margarine
  • 230 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder (Kaba)
  • 100 g chocolate shavings
  • ⅛ liter red wine
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Soften the butter or margarine in the microwave and then beat until light and fluffy. Gradually add the sugar and the sachet of vanilla sugar, add the eggs and continue beating on high speed until light and fluffy. Then add the cinnamon, Kaba (enough until the batter has a nice brown color. Kaba is best, not cocoa, otherwise the batter will be too dry), the chocolate shavings and the red wine. Fold in the flour and baking powder and mix everything well until a smooth batter is formed. Baking time (for cakes): approx. 40 – 60 mins Baking time (for muffins): approx. 10 – 15 mins Temperature: 175°C You may need small paper baking cups for muffins if, for example, you don’t have a flexible pan or you don’t want to keep washing out the tray! It’s just cleaner using the cups!! You’ll need cake icing to cover the muffins or cake, and Smarties or gummy bears to decorate them beautifully and colorfully! After all, eating isn’t just about eating!
