Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 jar morello cherries
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 12 sheets of gelatin
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes

Cherry Buttermilk Pudding

Puree the morello cherries and buttermilk with sugar and cinnamon. Heat the morello cherries juice in a large saucepan. Dissolve the gelatin, which has been soaked in cold water, in the warm juice. Do not let it boil. Slowly pour the cherry buttermilk into the saucepan with the gelatin and cherry juice and heat, stirring constantly. Do not let it boil, or the gelatin will not set later. Ladle into dessert bowls and let set in the refrigerator for several hours.
