Refreshing QimiQ Applesauce Cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of QimiQ (250ml)
  • 100 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 60 g cane sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 180 g applesauce, possibly homemade
  • possibly cinnamon, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

QimiQ can also be replaced with cream.

Mix all ingredients, except the applesauce, with a hand mixer until smooth and season to taste. If necessary, mix QimiQ separately beforehand until smooth to avoid lumps. Pour a layer of cream into 4 glasses or bowls, then a layer of applesauce, repeat and finish with a layer of cream. Leave the glasses or bowls in the refrigerator for several hours to set and cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon just before serving. Additional information: QimiQ consists of single cream and 1.5% edible gelatin. You can also use just cream, but it won’t be as solid. If you want, you can of course use cream AND gelatin.
