great use for jam, spreads, cheese, ham – everything the fridge has to offer

Knead all ingredients with a food processor – done. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. Divide the dough into two pieces, roll out into a circle, and divide into 10-12 “pie slices.” Fill as desired (raid the fridge), e.g., with cheese, ham and cheese, sour cream/bacon/onions, cream cheese, spreads, pesto, jam, Nutella… whatever you have on hand. Roll into croissants, brush with milk or egg yolk or an egg yolk-milk mixture, and bake at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. One baking sheet yields 20-24 pieces. The croissants freeze very well.
