Ingredients
 

  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 900 g Potatoes
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • 60 g Wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Msp Pepper
  • 1 Msp Nutmeg
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Peel the onion, cut in half and mince in a mixing bowl for 3 seconds / speed 5. Peel the potatoes, roughly cut into pieces (approx. 3-4 cm) and add to the onions. Chop for 7 seconds / level 6.
  • Then add the remaining ingredients and mix for 17 seconds on speed 4. Heat the oil in two pans (faster ;-)) and add approx. 2 tablespoons of potato mixture to the pan for each fried dachshund and press into a flat circle. Fry over medium heat and turn after approx. 3-5 minutes. Also fry for a few minutes and then degrease on kitchen paper.

Tips:

  • It is best to preheat the oven to 50 degrees at the beginning to keep the baked potato pancakes warm there. The Reiberdatschi taste delicious with homemade applesauce. Up to 300 g of the potatoes can also be replaced with other vegetables such as zucchini, parsnip, carrots, broccoli, kohlrabi or cauliflower. Then coarsely chop these as well and add them to the potatoes in the mixing bowl.
